THE INTERNATIONAL RBD GENETICS CONSORTIUM (IRBDGC)

The International RBD Genetics Consortium is a collaboration we initiated to study the genetics of RBD and its conversion to the different synucleinopathies. With over 1,200 samples, this is the world’s largest cohort of RBD. To study the role of genetics in RBD, we are performing genome-wide association study, targeted next-generation sequencing, whole-exome and whole genome sequencing. Future studies will also include RNA sequencing, copy-number variation analysis and epigenetics.
